Encaustic meets printmaking 3 day workshop

Learn the fundamentals of encaustic printmaking using the hot box and heated palette. Explore using various media to incorporate into your prints to further develop monotypes. Work with a wide range of paper and discover the attributes of each for successful printmaking. Some of the techniques explored will be mono types and mono prints, stencils and masking. Tips for creating your own stencils. Work cold using R& F Pigment sticks on gelli plates to create mono prints.

Workshops and in-person sessions are held in my studio located in Kelowna, BC Canada

The studio is professionally equipped with everything that you will need for your workshop including: Individual sit or stand workstations, Hot Boxes, variable heat guns, Iwatani torches, brushes, tools and any additional supplies required for your workshop. During your time in the studio, you will have available for your use a full range of R&F products including R&F heated palettes, encaustic medium, paints, gesso, Pigment Sticks and blending medium .

All supplies are included for your workshop. For this workshop, participants may wish to bring additional papers for their use. Suggestions, further details and additional class information will be sent upon registration.

Workshop size is currently limited to 6 participants per workshop. Payment is due at time of registration and confirms your space in workshop. Fees are non refundable however they may be applied towards a future workshop or artwork.
