Bring your sense of play to this exploratory 3 day workshop where the traditional boundaries of encaustic will be pushed back to make room work on unconventional surfaces. Some of the techniques we will be covering will include working with canvas, fabric, paper. Building up height and texture using accretion and texture. Exploring ways to build sculptural work up and off the surface of the board creating height and dimension.

The studio is professionally equipped with everything that you will need for your workshop including: Individual workstations, variable heat guns, Iwatani torches, brushes, tools and any additional supplies required for your workshop. During your time in the studio, you will have available for your use a full range of R&F products including R&F heated palettes, encaustic medium, paints, gesso, Pigment Sticks and blending medium .

Most supplies are included for your workshop with the exception of boards, substrates or painting surfaces. Optional supply list of additional supplies participants may wish to have more of will be sent out upon registration. Further details and additional class information will be sent upon registration.

Workshop size is currently limited to 8 participants per workshop. Payment is due at time of registration and confirms your space in workshop. Fees are non refundable however they may be applied towards a future workshop or artwork.
